Guyana Update - July

Greetings from Guyana!

Kristen and I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to share some of our experiences through various writings (and we hope you enjoy reading them!). However, what we have long realized is that, when it comes to explaining what life is like for us here in Guyana, nothing compares to the connection received during face-to-face communication. Writing is good. Speaking on the phone is decent. In-person conversation is better.

Thankfully, in just a few weeks Kristen and I will be able to communicate in the way we most prefer. Every two years, long-term Global Mission personnel such as ourselves are given two months to travel various parts of the United States in order to speak with sponsoring congregations. Kristen and I are deeply excited, for not only will we be able to personally thank those who have supported our service over the years, but we will also be able to answer and ask questions, offer and receive pictures, build and strengthen relationships, and of course, simply enjoy the fellowship of being among those who share a common interest and enthusiasm for Global Mission service.

From July 24th until we return to Guyana on October 24th, we will be speaking at a variety of locations. If you are interested in attending one of our “story sharing” sessions, the following is a list of congregations where we are scheduled to present (If interested, please feel free to contact us and/or the congregation for the date and time):

As Kristen and I prepare for the travels ahead, we are reminded of how extremely fortunate we are to be serving in Guyana among such wonderful people, and how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. I can never find the right words to express just how much it means to us! We love you all dearly, and we are excited to be able to look many of you in the eyes and tell you face-to-face just how much your support means.

Again, Kristen and I thank you for everything, and we look forward to seeing many of you in the months ahead.

With peace and love,

Brian
